When doing so, you should make sure that you cross the border at an official border station and get an exit stamp when leaving the country as well as an entry stamp in your passport when entering the country. Otherwise this can lead to problems when you leave the country. Some countries charge a fee or tax on entry; this is always included in airline tickets, but must be paid separately on land. It is best to always have 50 US dollars in cash with you.
