Internship abroad

Have you ever thought about doing an internship abroad and working in a company on the other side of the world?

Or to take care of the guests in a dream resort on a white sandy beach and get to know the processes of a hotel?

With an internship abroad, this is possible. You will learn a lot and gain many new impressions. Your language skills will also improve enormously. Of course, you don’t have to speak Spanish fluently. We will talk to you about your Spanish level before we find the right internship for you; there is something for every level. But of course you can also use the time to improve your knowledge during a Spanish course.

Of course, you will receive a comprehensive internship certificate from your employer, which you can use for future job applications. For example, you can have the internship credited as a pre-study internship. We can also arrange mandatory internships in your field of study.

WHY AN INTERNSHIP ABROAD?

There are many reasons to do an internship. And there are even more to do this internship abroad. In today’s globalized world, experience abroad is becoming increasingly important and is now often the deciding factor in whether you’ll be invited to interview. Any kind of stay abroad goes down well with recruiters; however, an internship is a rough plus as you were able to gain significant work experience in a foreign company culture. Especially if you plan to work in an international company later on, an internship abroad is very valuable or even mandatory. In addition to language skills, you will acquire intercultural competencies and other soft skills, which are typically the decisive factor.

Learning a foreign language

Just like any stay abroad, you have the unique opportunity to learn a new foreign language on the spot. And this is worth a lot in today’s working world. Competition in the marketplace is fierce, and those who speak several languages always have a distinct advantage. During an internship abroad, you usually have enough time to learn a language or to deepen your knowledge.

Everyone can speak English. To stand out from the crowd, you need to have something more to show. Spanish is one of the most important world languages and will help you in your professional life. And an internship in a country with a completely different culture will also come in handy, instead of taking the easy way out in another European country.

Intercultural skills

In any company that operates internationally and where you thus have to deal with people from different cultures in your everyday work, adaptability and intercultural skills are very significant. This means that you have to understand the other culture, expectations and behavior, be able to relate to it and deal with it. Easier said than done. The best proof for this so essential soft skill is a completed internship abroad.

Better application chances

In all courses of study that are aimed at working in international corporations, time spent abroad is a critical factor. Therefore, students in these fields of study should definitely plan to spend a semester abroad. With the number of students, it is increasingly important to stand out positively from the crowd.

Personal experience

Of course, an internship abroad will also broaden your horizons. Personal development during your time abroad is also highly valued by recruiters and is a great step for yourself for the future. You’ll learn to be independent, boost your self-confidence and develop a sense of responsibility.

Build networks

Both within your company and outside it, you can make significant international contacts from which you can benefit again in your later professional life. Networking is becoming increasingly essential not only in private life, but also in the professional world—stay in touch via LinkedIn or other social platforms.

WHY INTERNSHIP ABROAD IN LATIN AMERICA?

The countries in Latin America are no longer as underdeveloped as some people think. More and more large, internationally active companies are settling there and ensuring an up-and-coming economy. For this reason, one can also find other interesting areas, such as the social sector. Tourism also plays an important role in all Latin American countries and provides exciting and diverse employment opportunities.

Everyone can speak English. To stand out from the crowd, you need to have something more to show for it. Spanish is one of the most important world languages and will help you in your professional life. And an internship in a country with a completely different culture is also a good idea instead of taking the easy way out in another European country.

QUALITY

We place great emphasis on the quality of our internships. All employers have been personally visited by us and carefully checked against our standards. We have a large network of companies and institutions and can therefore guarantee a very high placement rate.

In order for you to get as much as possible out of your internship and to get great learning success, it is important that you have a variety of tasks and that you can work proactively and bring in your own ideas. Especially in smaller companies or social organizations, you usually have a free hand and are allowed to work in different areas, as the processes are not as strictly defined as in a large corporation. Thus, you can apply all your knowledge from your studies or gain new knowledge and at the same time make a significant contribution to the progress of the company.

We will be happy to advise you on the phone about your plans and tell you directly about the chances of success. Likewise, we will talk about your options, the period, and duration of your internship and inform you about the different locations. You will have the chance to ask any questions you may have before your dream of an internship in Latin America becomes reality.

5. Show us who you are

Of course, your future employer also wants to get to know you better. As with any internship, we need your resume, ideally in Spanish or English. We will gladly send you a template for this purpose. In addition, you will fill out an online questionnaire. This is to get to know you and your preferences and to help us with the optimal placement.
