The WanderWorld Team

The realization of your adventure

Line

Latin America is our passion. This is what unites us as the WanderWorld Travel team - we were born there, live or have lived there, know and love the countries and call them our (second) home. We have shared this passion since 2018 and have already supported over 1,500 participants on their own personal journey. Personal contact with our participants is particularly important to us. We look forward to getting to know you and accompanying you on your adventure! On this page you can get to know our team in Germany and Latin America and find out more about your contact person.

Sophia Fink

FOUNDER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR

Sophia is the founder of WanderWorld Travel. She advises our participants on their program selection and looks after them before and during the trip. She has personally selected our programs. On her annual trips through Latin America, she visits our partner projects and establishes new collaborations.

Sophia founded WanderWorld Travel after a long journey through several countries in Latin America, which she undertook after her law studies. You can find out more about our founding story here.

More about Sophia

"Traveling for several months allows young people to broaden their horizons and think outside the box. From my own experience, I know that living together with people from a different culture gives you the opportunity to change your perspective, question your familiar thought patterns and develop enormously as a result. The cultural exchange is not only a benefit for you, but also for the local people and often results in intensive friendships."

Amanda Olschewski

Advice and travel preparation

Amanda takes care of the travel registration and travel preparations for our participants. She receives inquiries and program bookings and answers questions. After completing her Bachelor's degree in tourism, she has been working at WanderWorld since 2023.

During her studies, she spent a semester abroad in Peru and traveled to many other South American countries. Peru in particular aroused her passion.

More about AManda

"What fascinates me is the lively and spirited culture, which expresses itself particularly through dance, music and a sense of community. I have had the opportunity to travel through countries such as Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and Brazil. My tip for young travelers would be to embrace the openness and spontaneity of the locals and the country's processes rather than sticking to the familiar from home. It's a wonderful experience to see life from a less difficult perspective."

Alejandro Rodriguez

PROJECT COORDINATOR

Ale is responsible for cooperation with our local projects. He ensures that there is a constant exchange of information. He is also the contact person in Guatemala, his home country, where he was born and grew up.

He studied history at the University of San Carlos in Guatemala and worked as a sales representative for a Canadian company for three years before deciding to turn his love of travel into a career in 2022. He has traveled extensively in both Latin America and Europe and is particularly fascinated by Colombia.

More about Alejandro

"I was born in Guatemala City and spent my childhood there. But for many years I have called the enchanting city of Antigua my home. Guatemala is a country full of history and cultural treasures, and I love being a part of it. What do I particularly appreciate about Guatemala? Definitely the people. The Guatemalans are incredibly nice and hospitable. My tip for young travelers: live in the moment and feel the beauty of this country in all its facets!"

Ronja Passauer

Online Marketing

Ronja takes care of our social media channels, such as Instagram and TikTok (feel free to check them out😉). She is also responsible for takeovers from Latin America.

After graduating from high school, Ronja traveled through Latin America for a year in 2020 and fell in love with the country and its people. She then became part of our WanderWorld team and began her media informatics studies at the Harz University of Applied Sciences.

More about Ronja

"After graduating from high school, I traveled through Latin America with Wanderworld for a year and simply had the best time of my life. I climbed volcanoes, danced salsa, explored the Andes and, above all, got to know myself in a completely new way. I came into close contact with the local people through my projects and shed countless tears every time I had to leave. I wish everyone this experience of reinventing themselves away from all the people they know."

Sebastian Delp

Friend and helper

Basti is very familiar with the projects and trips in Latin America and supports Wanderworld with customer care, travel preparations and everything else that arises.

More about Sebastian

" I love traveling and think it's super cool what interesting people you get to meet. The fact that every country is so different from the next also makes every trip a unique adventure! "

One of my absolute favorite places in Colombia is Minca, a village in the café region of the Sierra Nevada. I am fascinated by the diversity of this country. Whether it's the geography, the climate or the people and cultures, everywhere you go something changes. In my opinion, you should explore as much of the countries as possible!"

More about Doris

"I was immediately captivated by Mexico. During my vacation there, I just knew: I want to stay here longer! It was a decision from the heart, not from the mind. I feel particularly at home in untouched nature - be it in a cenote, on a secluded beach or by a quiet lagoon. What do I particularly like about Mexico? The warm hospitality of the people, the delicious food and the relaxed mentality. Here, life is simply enjoyed without meticulous planning."
