Depending on the location, your stay will differ significantly and offer you different experiences.

At the Coast near Pichilemu you live in a surf camp that is strongly characterized Life and closeness to nature is characterized. The focus here is on surfing and the relaxed lifestyle around the ocean. You live together with other travelers, spend a lot of time outdoors and are part of an open, international environment. The beach is only a few minutes away and forms the center of everyday life.

Your day has a clear structure without feeling like a traditional working day. You support the team at the camp with various tasks and are free to organize your day as you wish. Many participants use their free time for surfing, excursions in the surrounding area or simply to consciously slow down.

At the second location in Valparaíso, you will experience a different side of the program. Here, your stay is more strongly characterized by a fixed program and combines surfing with social commitment. You support regular surf sessions as well as learning and leisure activities for young people from coastal communities. It's not just about the surfing itself, but also about community, motivation and personal development.

What both locations have in common is that you Part of a community will. You will spend your time with people from different countries, share experiences and experience everyday life by the sea from a perspective that is often hidden from you as a normal traveler.

The program is deliberately kept flexible. Your everyday life is a mixture of fixed tasks, joint activities and your own time. It is precisely this combination that makes the surf camp program a special experience, where you don't just surf, but really immerse yourself in local life.

Tasks

Your tasks in the surf camp program depend on which location you are assigned to. Basically, you provide support where help is needed on a day-to-day basis and are an integral part of the team.

At the surf camp near Punta de Lobos, the focus is on everyday life at the hostel. You support the Reception at check-in and check-out, help to keep the communal areas clean and inviting and prepare breakfast or spend it. An important part of your role is also the Contact with the guests. You quickly get into conversation, take part in activities or get involved when something is being organized.

Depending on your interests, you can also get involved in smaller creative or design tasks, for example designing communal areas, photos or small projects in the hostel.

Your everyday life is usually organized in shifts, which at the same time leave enough space. As a rule, you work around five hours a day and the rest of the time is free. Many people use this time to surf, go on excursions or simply enjoy the atmosphere by the sea. As the daily routine at the surf camp is heavily dependent on waves, weather and arrivals and departures, a certain degree of flexibility is helpful.

At the second location, you will support a surf-based program directly on the coast. Here you are actively involved in the surf sessions and help with the organization on site. Overall, the task structure is varied and practical. You take responsibility, learn how to organize yourself in a new environment and at the same time get a realistic insight into the everyday life of a surf camp.
