Volunteering

In Asia

Your adventure awaits

Are you looking for a unique experience where you can travel and do something meaningful at the same time? Then volunteering in Asia is just the thing for you. A charitable project in Asia opens up new perspectives and allows you to get to know foreign cultures in depth. Your commitment will help people, animals or the environment. You also help local organizations with their important daily work. You will be close to the lives of local people, in the midst of nature or in village communities. You will not only receive gratitude for your commitment, but will also have valuable encounters and unforgettable experiences that will help you grow personally.

Asia impresses with a culture that is thousands of years old, spiritual diversity and breathtaking landscapes. At the same time, many regions face major social challenges: unequal access to education, environmental problems and the protection of animals are key issues. This is exactly where your help is needed. Get involved in our projects where support can really make a difference.

We work closely with locally rooted organizations. All projects in our program are carefully selected by us and checked for their non-profit status, transparency and quality standards.

As part of our volunteer work in Asia, you can choose from numerous projects and areas of work. The tasks and focus vary depending on the country, region and project type. We will be happy to advise you individually and work with you to find the project that best suits your interests, skills and ideas.

About volunteering

Why volunteer?

As the world's largest continent, Asia is so diverse and incredibly colorful in its various regions and countries. Asia fascinates with its cultural diversity, millennia-old traditions, diverse religious influences, modern megacities and impressive nature and wildlife. But as rich and diverse as the continent is, there are still major social inequalities, poverty and ecological challenges. By volunteering, you can help where help is urgently needed and gain valuable life experience in the process.

Volunteering in Asia combines meaningful engagement with intense travel experiences. Whether in the education sector, in the social environment, in animal welfare or in environmental and nature conservation. With your commitment, you help to strengthen local projects in the long term. Your commitment supports organizations that rely on outside help to implement and develop their important work. There are numerous projects and organizations that know exactly what is needed locally and ensure that your commitment is meaningful, responsible and sustainable.

Your help is needed

As the organizations are often dependent on the support of volunteers, you can actively contribute to the success of the initiatives. With your commitment, creativity, specific knowledge and motivation, you will be an asset to every project, helping people, animals and the environment. As part of the project team, you will help drive the work forward and shape a better future for local communities.

Develop yourself further and gain valuable experience

By participating in a volunteer program, you will leave your comfort zone and develop personally and professionally at the same time. Working on a project will certainly challenge you at times, but it will make you more independent and strengthen your sense of responsibility. You learn to adapt to new situations, develop intercultural skills and gain self-confidence. These skills will stay with you for the rest of your life. You will also get to know people's everyday lives, work closely with local communities and gain insights that are often hidden from you as a tourist. These experiences will broaden your horizons in the long term. During your stay, you will have intercultural learning opportunities from which the local people can also benefit. Volunteering in the project and working with other international volunteers will open up new perspectives, boost your self-confidence and improve your English skills. If you approach the work with an open mind and curiosity, it will be an unforgettable and enriching experience.

How we select our projects

We are fascinated by Asia, have traveled extensively to some of the countries on this incredibly diverse continent ourselves or still live there today. That's why we are very familiar with many countries, know what makes for an unforgettable work & travel adventure and have a broad network of partners. We stand behind each of our projects with complete confidence and are constantly expanding our range of services.

We do not purchase programs from local travel agencies. We have selected every project that we offer our participants ourselves and checked it against our quality standards. We are in constant, close contact with the local project managers. This is the only way we can always maintain an overview, guarantee a smooth process and react flexibly and at short notice.

We are convinced that there are numerous great social projects in Asia where help is urgently needed. Our participants can play an active role in positive local development and get to know the country, its people and culture at the same time.

Before we offer a project, we make sure that it is non-profit, meaning that the work of our participants is not for the profit of the employer, but for a good local cause. We make sure that everyone involved in the project is doing well and that the working environment is respectful, fair and safe. Working conditions also play a key role for us. The local employees are paid and treated fairly according to Asian standards. The programme fee goes towards the accommodation and meals of the volunteers and is partly a mandatory donation to the organization.

In addition, the working conditions for our participants are of course also checked. A respectful working atmosphere, the cleanliness and safe location of the projects and accommodation as well as regular working hours with sufficient free time are particularly important to us.

We are a specialized agency that deliberately only places a certain number of jobs. We like to set ourselves apart from the plethora of other providers with our personal advice, our individual support and our high-quality jobs.

Language skills

What language skills do I need?

In all our projects in Asia, communication takes place in English. There are employees in every project who speak English very well. They are often also responsible for volunteer coordination. You should have at least a basic knowledge of English to be able to communicate and understand tasks. It will also help you to exchange ideas and spend time with other volunteers. In projects where you will be teaching English to children and adults, you should have an advanced level of English. In all projects, you will also come into contact with staff and local people who speak little English. Through contact with you, you can help these people to improve their English skills and thus benefit for the future. With a little curiosity, you will also quickly learn a few words of the local language, much to the appreciation of the locals, which will immerse you deeper into the culture.
